PROMOTE: European training for professionals in the correctional system and related fields... including a trip abroad :-)

My cooperation partner Rhianon Williams ( inter-change.eu ) has several wonderful and important projects. One of them is Promote.
PROMOTE is a European professional development program for professionals in the prison system, probation services, social work, education, and related fields. Its aim is to strengthen professional skills for working with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals, as well as their reintegration and social participation. The training takes place from January to July 2027 within a fixed international learning cohort. It combines in-person sessions in Bremen, online learning modules in English, self-study and practical phases, and a two-day international training event in another European country. I'm participating and hope to fly to Budapest in the spring!
Content options include trauma-sensitive practice, psychological sensitization, conflict management, relationship work, intercultural competence, mental health, dynamic safety, and family-oriented work in prisons.
For selected participants, participation is fully funded, including training, travel, and accommodation. European micro-credentials can also be earned upon successful completion of the modules. Requirements include, among other things, professional experience in the relevant field, English language skills at least at B1 level, and willingness to participate in the entire program.
Application deadline: September 30, 2026, 12:00 PM. Further information:PROMOTE Continuing Education Germany
The program explicitly addresses professionals from related fields such as social work and education; it is therefore not limited exclusively to correctional officers.
